Good post. Bean with bacon (or whatever) is/was always one of my favs. Coupled with some fresh baked bread and you can be someone.

BTW is there any obvious/ particular reason that you would make this when your lovely wife is out of town? wink

Your ham and bean soup looks great Sam, but I ate so many as a kid I seldom have a craving for it any more. After seeing yours it sure would taste good on a chilly day like today.

Love me some Linguica.!

Can't find it here, so I have to schlep it back from CA when I visit relatives.

Where my relatives in CA live, Linguica is an appetizer that's usually cooked on the grill over oak.

Once it's hot, you put a piece on a tortilla with a bit of cheese and some salsa..

That will tide you over until the Tri-Tip is done...

Linguica is FINE eating.!
