They have a website, search for best stop and Scott LA.
They make it there and freeze, then ship with dry ice

I'm sitting in Scott, LA right now for work. Best Stop and Don's Specialty Meats both make killer boudin. Hard to stay out of those joints. Pat, there used to be a market that made great boudin in Port Neches, I believe, but I can't remember the name of it. It's been too long. Familiar with it, or if it may still be open?

I used to buy that stuff from a place called Richard's in Lake Chas. LA when I worked down there one summer. The local coon-azzes turned me on to it and I've craved it ever since.
I'm going check out this Best Stop place.

A guy in my camp bought a deer processing business earlier this year. I killed a 90 lb maiden doe with my bow mid October. Since I already had a bunch of meat in the freezer I went for something I had never had, smoked boudin. I had the whole deer done yielding 104 lbs of pure eating delight. I had not considered they mix deer/boston butts 50/50 then add a equal amount of rice.

Close, it's in Port Arthur...Nick's Grocery. I started to post something about it, but didn't want to get my neighbors in Louisiana twisted about the best boudin in the world coming from Texas.

Dang! I just looked into ordering about 20 lbs. of it and the darned shipping is outrageous! $30 just for a "cooler and ice", plus the standard shipping charges = $55. I've been ordering from Cajun Grocer in the past and their shipping is MUCH more reasonable. I'm gonna have to think about this a bit, but damn my mouth is watering!
Heck, does anyone here know how to make it?

That's the one! Thanks! I'll stop through there and pick some up to take to my dad at Christmas. He used to buy tons of it there, and hasn't stopped talking about it since we moved away from Beaumont in '85 (BTW, how's y'alls hostage taker durrin' this morning? What a nut job...)
