Need some advice....I have a one piece Leupold base on the deuce and I am putting a Redfield I have up top...any suggestions on the rings? WTF? You think this is a shooting forum where people exchange ideas??? Sheesh....

So I should scrap the one piece? Why? Because they are ugly as hell. The DD you will want to lap but are bomb proof. I have the Weaver and Burris set up that 'flave suggested on my Omega and really like them as well.

There's actually nothing wrong with your base at all. It's just preference. Mine is wearing a one piece right now. But when I remove the peasant glass, the base and rings will go with it. Hope this helps your vagina feel better. Dave

I loves me my Weavers. Nope, Weavers suck donkey balls, unless, as Flave pointed out, theyve got Burris Zee rings on top. I HATE weaver loop-over rings...but frankly they served an awful lot of people well for an awful long time, even on the big stuff. My only ring failure EVER was the traditional Weaver... I just happened to be standing next to my gun cabinet one day when I heard a 'ping', looked in and sure as schitt one of my weavers had busted that big knob off its retaining screw....all by itself....honest....

I loves me my Weavers. You must have a lot of patience or know the secret. Every time I tried Weavers I spent all day trying to keep the scope from twisting while tightening the rings.
