Tom, you getting the freezing rain over there?

We picked up around 4" of snow that has turned over to sleet and freezing rain.

Bill- we got it mid day today in the southern suburbs. (Prior Lake) Turned to snow-those gigantic flakes that could just about knock a horse over. I just came in from doing the driveway. We only got about an inch but very wet, and very heavy.

Still coming down here in the form of a very light mist. Going to be interesting in the morning. Glad I don't have to go anywhere.

Wow fluf, it's got to feel good to create something that will likely be around for... who knows? hundreds of years?

Nate took this picture himself, I left him alone to go back to the walleye house and he stuck his first pike. a nice 25" eater.



Anybody can catch big walleyes. it takes skill to get a hook into a micro eye though lol.

Uncle Gene update:

He was moved to a nursing facility in Detroit Lakes, Mn on Friday. He said "well at least I'm gettin closer to ice fishin" The wife and I went and seen him today and he is doing much better than he was. Part of his therapy is walking with a walker now! He has some movement in his left arm but still not much in his right. His legs seem to be good. He can move himself around in his wheel chair. And his sense of humor is still there. He had us laughing like crazy. Like usual!

Mid 30's here today a mid 40's on Tuesday with rain. Than it's back to the deep freeze.

My old buddy agreed to sell me his stainless TC 410 Contender. Has a 21" barrell and full butt stock. It will be going to my grandson.

Went to the gun show up in Wausau Saturday. One of the local TV stations caught me walking past the camera so I made the 6 and 10 O'clock news.

Wow, 410 TC contender, that's a nice catch.

I'll even try to post a picture of it after I get it. It's a neat little gun. Don't recall if it's an original contender frame or the newer G2 frame.

Spent it at the local ski club, after snow blowing the driveway, Saturday morning.

This morning has been pleasant, however, it has just started raining !! That ain't going to be pretty !!

Haven't been on the 'Fire for quite some time. In hindsight the reasons for that don't seem as important as they did then. Got caught up last nite. Gonna try to keep current from here on out.
