Snowmobiles are fairly popular here even though it's hit and miss with available snow. Some years you wouldn't get much riding in locally. Lots of people head down and hit the mountains in south, southwest MT towards the park.

FWIW when I lived in Havre we used to cross into Canada in the dark of night and do our spotlighting there...didnt know what the laws were there, knew we werrent sposed to be there anyway, so WTF I'll bet the border is more secure these days though...

Samson....I would have thought Montana...all of Montana...would get buried by snow every year. I need to bone up on my geography...problem was that when I had a section of Regional Geography of the Western World 30 years ago at UNH, I was probably already boned up....just sayin....is the terrain plateau?
