Hi boners.

I went shooting today... -5ish, but sunny and void of wind.

It was sweet.

Ahh, it's 'broners', Tanman.

What were you blasting with?

I loaned a buddy a Leup with an M1 to stick on his long fat 5R 300 WM, so we figured out a few drops for him with that.

I blasted the 600 yard steel with the .308 to finish up fireforming some new brass, and beat the piss out of the steel and a basketball rock at 750 with my 7 Remmy. The 162 A-Max @2950 continues to impress.

'Twas a good session.

No.

Nice.

I've often contemplated getting a fast .284 for the 162 Amax. It was awesome in my 7-08 at 2700! That or a hot rod .264 with the 140 Bergs/SMK...

Too bad about the continued accuracy degradation on your big 7 as you continue to move past round count 350...decided on an aftermarket barrel yet? laugh

Might I recommend a chopped down 7 mag with extra long neck for next time?

Mojo,

We mustn't speak of Rongman's malarkey on the Best Thread Ever.

I am convinced that the 162 A-Max/168 Berg/SMK whatever at 2900-3050 is THE most bang your recoil buck out of a sporter weight rifle. That being said, I haven't personally gunned a fast 6.5 with 140s, so I may be wrong.

I'm thinking to avoid having to replace tubes after 350rds, next time I'll go 15" on the spout, and rework a 7 RUM case to feature a .75" long neck. Should work.

I always be on the lookout for her. We were married 5 times one night. Or at least consummated it. In my dreams. laugh

I like 'em slinky, she fits the bill.

I prefer phoucin' down myself, but on occasion up is good.

I made a mistake once. Back in '67 as I recall. Hope I'm not mistaken about that.
