Well, the great democrats in TAX HELL WISCONSIN foiled our latest attempt at CCW laws.
I think the next bill up for debate is to allow for the marrying of sheep..

Mine's great, and I expect to enjoy it until all the BAD Californians (the Missionaries, not the Refugees) move in and drive the real estate prices through the roof and then want to Get Involved and get elected to the little town councils because Back in California they didn't do things like shoot rifles and pistols and shotguns in non-designated shooting ranges and holy hell you can't leave GUNS in your TRUCK and all these yokels don't know what they are doing and they park too close to my Caddilac freaking pickup and I had better get the town to pave the 2 miles of gravel road between my 60 acre, $1.5 million estate and town because I now have to wash and wax the Lexus freaking pickup every week and WTF in California they wouldn't have a gravel road, they'd pave it, and hey lets drive my Caddilac pickup 45 mph on the dry road because I can see snow on the shoulder of the road and they don't have that in LA and I read something about black ice once and.. and... and...
Not that I'm bitter.
Idaho, the 2nd favorite destination for the California expatriots (Oregon being #1).

Well,
As a "damn yankee" in the State of Vermont I will offer that we once failed to re-elect a congressman (1981) because he voted for gun control while in D.C. ... and ... we presume that everyone may have a need to carry a concealed weapon and thus no permit is ever needed to put solid protection on one's hip.
Check out our crime rate. I do know that the taxes are a little high but the kids all have health care, too. Try harassing a hunter here - we were one of the first to pass a law against bothering sportsmen or interfereing with the chase.
We do have civil unions, and that's not the way I would want my kids to live. But, this is a free country and I can't see how allowing a gay person the ability to inherit, have health insurance, and make end of life decisions costs me anything. As regards the religious question my God is a loving god who says, "Judge not, lest ye be judged."
Lastly, our former Dem. governor was elected to his position as head of the Democratic Party by grass-roots Democrats. This severely pissed-off the Washington D.C. Democrats and they don't like him much. Mr. Dean won't bow to NY and Massachusetts. He has been kicking the national Democrats in the a&& about getting the he&& off the anti-gun wagon and growing a spine. After looking at the deficit, the lost jobs, the Medicare Drug benefits fiasco (costing Vermonters about 2 million so far) and the damage to the environment, never mind the people throughout America w/o health insurance, what I wouldn't give for an honest, plain-speaking, gun-toting, Democrat to run for president.
So while I know that the "Damn Yankee" comment was probably meant for NY, NJ, Massachusetts, R.I, and Maine, Vermont is different.
Think I'll strap on the Smith, stop by the general store for some targets and shells, and go to the sandpit.
Hallelujah!

We may know the time Ben Carson lied, but does anyone know the time Hillary Clinton told the truth?

"Whacked out liberals", "grass roots Democrats", in this instance, they look to be one and the same!!?! I have a tough time abiding any Democrat not in the mold of a Zell Miller for instance, YMMV......
