+1 for Underwood, the stuff I have seen met the velocity stated, showed minimal flash and appeared to be quality stuff. Cannot beat his prices, almost 50% off of what doubletap charges for the same performance.

Does he back order? Got a Glock 19 on the way and want to get some 124 or 147 gold dot ammo.

The Underwood 45 Super 230 grain are very good in my experience. In the reviews customers are claiming that they chrono'ed them close to 1200 FPS

Yeah I was looking through their different ammo offerings, they are all loaded up to serious velocities.
I noted that a lot of the customer reviews indicate the ammo exceeds the velocity claimed by the maker.

Anyone know if that .45 super is safe in a new production SW 625? The only load I would somewhat hesitate on is his 115+p+, I know gold dots are tough but 1400fps would be pretty hard on a bullet designed for much less speed.

A 45 ACP has to be set up properly to safely shoot 45 Super Ammo
The Underwood 230 45 Super Ammo that I have is Accurate, I will chrono it soon

I have two 9MM's and I only shoot standard velocity rounds through them. For me it is all about accuracy and I shoot them better than +P plus the lesser recoil puts me back on target quicker. I do not advocate what I do for anyone other than myself, to each his own.
I own a very accurate 30-06 but hunt with a 6.5x55 the vast majority of the time for the same reasons stated above. Of course what animal endemic to Texas requires a caliber larger than 6.5x55?. If we had elk, moose or bear here it would be a different story though.
Don't roll those bloodshot eyes at me.
