My son and I got to go on a bobcat hunt here in PA this past Saturday. Cut a steaming hot track before first light and had this big tom on the ground by 8:00! [img:left] [/img] He bayed up 700 yards into the thickest Mnt Laurel you can think of. The boy dropped him from about 15 yards! [img:left] [/img] [img:left] [/img] I've never predator hunted with dogs before, but man, what a blast! I can't say enough about how well those dogs worked!

Couldn't have done it with out them. They were awesome! Danny didn't even care when they ate his doughnuts after the hunt! [img:left] [/img]

Thanks all! I'm certainly a proud pappa! He's had a heck of a year hunting, longbeard last spring, a doe, a nice buck, a nice black squirrel, his 1st beavers trapping, and now this. He's going to need to mow a lot of lawns this summer to pay for the taxidermy bills! Looks like good shot placement also. It was pretty tense there for a minute or two trying to get into position in a place that we could hardly walk or see what was dog and what was cat. Then I had to pick my boy up in the air so he could see through an opening, wait for the "dogs are clear" signal, and make the shot. The cat was flattened at the shot!

Wow, that looks like a pretty big bobcat too! Not ever seen any around here that large. Good job!
