Bastids. Yeah, My order in process says back order. I'm not worried though, That Federal ammo the week before (2100 rounds in a can) said the same thing. Those 2 cans are supposed to be at the Post Falls Store Saturday.

Pointer, we use a 4 crop rotation, corn, soys, sugar beets and pickles...700 acres more or less of each.....Most of our tillage is done with a Krause Dominator combo disc/ripper. We try to leave as much corn debris on top as we can....and do a light broadcasting of rye for winter cover on the rest. We can store 300,000 bushel of corn, usually we buy wet corn from the neighbors to top off our storage, and market it as we see fit.
Thanks Sammo! Thanks for sharing. Interesting rotation. I've yet to run into anyone down here rotating in beets and cucumbers. Good deal on the winter rye. Though not all are convinced, I'm pretty well convinced that if planned/used properly there's lots of benefits to cover crops.

Pointer, one thing we find with the rye is the weed control it offers. It will take over once it gets established...and in the spring we plant beets right into it in a stale bed, spraying a band of Round Up down the row from the planter so the rye is dead before the beet emerges...and still provides wind protection for that tiny beet plant. Works for us!
