Anybody have or seen a model 70 CRF bolt fluted? not the push feed but the mauser style bolts? I know Karl at kempfeld might have done some but I cant find any pictures of one to see if it is even worth doing.

Simply due to the fact that the ejector will then interfere with bolt movement due to the flutes.. PF - ok... Not CRF..

My Beretta Mato has straight flutes. Seems to work fine.
I've always been different with one foot over the line.....

Yeah I dont think i am going to end up doing it. Even though the one Karl did does look pretty cool, its a WSM so the flutes would be small and not really worth the money.

And that makes it better? Now, did I say that? If you're going for the "cool factor" being able to see the flutes sure does help. If you can't see 'em, they're not very cool. But you could ask your same question about lots of stuff guys do with rifles. Does a $200 camo paint job on the stock make it better?
