I just found my way home from Friday night's adventure. You ever get drunk in a bar with a bunch of Canadian Cougars? Then head back to the Kandahar Lodge with all 3 of them??? There were of course MANY Purple [bleep] involved  It's not as cool as it sounds. I was done [bleep] by 4AM, it took me a while to find a ride off Big Mountain back to Whitefish. So I got sauced with a bartender friend-girl of mine who was wondering how the story ended. Then I walked around Central Ave. until I found my pick-up. I think I'll just hit the local VFW and go to bed early tonight. ____________________ Purple [bleep] lead to poor decisions in life that are ooooober-funnn

As for cat shots, I found them easy to get used to, basically you blinked, and you were airborne accelerating through 150KTS. Piece O' cake. [bleep], now I'm all depressed....
150! Chitt, I did that a couple times in Snakes...in a high angle gun run. Don't be depressed. You guys...Chuck was always phouc dup about lead 'cause of the difference between you and us. They sprayed and prayed..that we didn't tattle to the FACs. Of course we always did, and watched the Show with a smile.

Dan,just loaded some IMR 7828 in the 7x57 and seated the bullets out to 3.330" and get this THEY STILL CHAMBER AND EJECT WITH NO PROBLEMS! Tomorrow I WILL WATCH the chrono very CAREFULLY! If these do not shoot well,I will go to H-4831SC.
Luck with that, lookin' for a report. 3.33" makes me grin. Loaded the .300 Roy at 3.6" as I recall. Guessin' that Mouser round looks like a torpedo is hangin' out the front end? There was a thread here a few days ago about running the 7 at "modern" pressure levels, don't know if you saw that. Most published data for the round peaks around 40-45 kpsi. Mild...lots of wiggle room there. My guess is that a powder a wee bit faster than RL22 will do well, if only because the case capacity is limited. Regardless, that load you already ran is a good reference and will whack most anything, here or in Africa.
