'Slave, 'Flave and Rman you bunch a no-good [bleep] talkin about me behind my back. I'm damn near far enough away from Toronto I may as well have my mail sent to Manitoba. 'Course they're settin up to give that big useless [bleep] to the injuns anyways. So I guess I'm [bleep] one way or the other!
Archie, hanging around all those Toronto BEF's has got you sensitive! Besides, if Manitoba wasn't there, then East would start at Saskatchewan, and that would be entirely too close. And yes, you're definatly [bleep].
Poobah,Dan,in my defense I have to learn the hard way, remember that I is a Rebel on the GTE!
Seafire my chrono gave me a bum wrap on that load, but from the velocity of the next one I'm going to say 2550ish and the group size was under 1 inch at 100 yds. This weekend I'll shoot it again and have better info.
GM on the GTE!!
I was looking that up in one or two of my load manuals..
I was wondering in a modern rifle, if that could be improved upon with the pressure according to the load manual is only about 44 to 45,000 CUP.
I found in a 30/06, using H 4831 SC, one could actually up the velocity potential a good bit with 180 to 200 and 220 gr bullets...
I run 3031 out of an older Hornady Manual, and they claim I should get 2450 fps, but my 3 rifles are exceeding that by a good bit, and it is the most accurate powder in both of the Rugers...with 175 grain SP and RN Hornadys...
Seafire I'm using a CZ 550 American with a 24" barrel that was bought in mid-late January.
Also seating the 175 Rem's out to 3.330" in this rifle. You will not find the load I'm using in ANY MANUAL,because it is over their max of 45K CUP.
I can relate.. the best one I found for these long throated Rugers was of 3031 out of an older Hornady Manual... it runs a 175 RN out at 2650 fps out of a 22 inch barrel... I am sure it is overload for the 45,000 CUP pressures also..
But Remington Brass doesn't seem to really mind, nor does the Ruger, or my Model 70....
by the way, that CZ 550 is definitely a nice rig.. have to admit, if one in 7mm Mauser had ever crossed my path, it would probably be in my gun safe... especially one of those Mannlicher stocked ones...

Sea, when you get the chance it may be in your interest to view a Brno Mod 22 or ZG47...why settle for skim mik when cream is only a little bit more expensive.
sadly that sort of classic stuff isn't available much stateside...
with this big stigma about the commies back in the cold war days..
The Canucks were lucky enough to see them tho....
I admit to being a Winchester fan on commercial stuff.. and P17s & 14s made by Winchester during WW 1, and Springfield actions.. and of course military CZs.. pre WW 2 stuff...
you gentlemen down in OZ are fortunate enough to see some nice hardware show up on your shores...
The Model 21 in 7x64 that I recently purchased, was bought from the States for US $2600.00...I paid Aus $3050.00 for it, and am happy at the price.
You fellows are in an extremely fortunate positon in that you have access to far more than we have ever dreamed of, and at a fraction of the cost.
And those lucky, lucky Canadians are just about giving away quality firearms for nix....because all the younger fellows seem to be fixated on the modern rubbish.
Leavin' town today to visit with one of my pushers. Will be crippled by my I-Phone sadly, so no tawdry pics from me after I get on the road. Sorry. A little.
Couple of repairs, an upgrade, and mebbe a new creation will spring forth.
In my absence, I cast my proxy with Pope Flavicus the Fist. No chitt.
Oh yeah, Good Morning to all you upstanding gents!! And the Pervs too.
I'm feeling magnanimous today. Don't know what it means but it sounds good, hey?
Page or two back someone was talking about Canuckistanians, Northerns and how to get the bones out? We figured that out down here back in the early part of the last century. PM me if you need help.

I am..........disturbed.

just fer [bleep] n giggles, if you have a computer(duh) or a smart phone, check out Pandora radio. Download the app. Choose just about any artist and type in their name/band and they will pop up. Make a station and it will play their music and similar genre. Will also give details and stuff. From there you can go to Amazon and search for MP3 music if you want to download. I've got a couple hundred "albums/cd's downloaded to my computer and phone that I've purchased over the years. My radio/cd player in my truck has an audio out. I just plug in my I-phone and can listen to music or books on audio. Probably have not put in a CD in a couple years.
