I don't know for sure but I'm guessing you could use .243 Catbird data and I know I have seen posts here about it. I knew a guy that had one but am not in contact with him.
I personally would go with .240 Weatherby data and work up.

Ed I've got to ask... Why? This is not an attack, I don't have any knowledge of the round and certainly "because you want to" is all the justification you or anyone else needs to build anything they want. Just wondering what this chambering's raison d'etre is... Please educate me. Regards David

Just wondering what this chambering's raison d'etre is... I have been pondering something in the 6-06 realm for a while so I'll be interested in the answer too. But seriously man, you can't be using terminology like raison d'etre on a firearms forum.........

That's your forte, ain't it? Chasing down crooks and Commies and chit. That's your whole God-d*** raison d'etre, ain't it?

instead of a 270AI case, wouldn't a 280 Rem case pretty much give you the same powder capacity?

call me the 'frugal shooter'
my first research would be cost of dies...
then I'd just build a more user friendly 8 twist 6XC (6mm/250)
but thats just me.....have fun....

canazes9 thats a fair question, the answer is a little convuluted. first i wanted a gofast 6mm i had a 24"ss rem. 243 takeoff barrel.didn't want the barrel to get any shorter and with the 243 measuring as wide as it does at the shoulder that left me with fewer choices i came up with 243/06ai 6mm/270imp. 28 degree and the 6mm/284.couldn't find 6.5x284 brass in stock anywhere don't like short necks anyhow. also have got many 30/06 and 25/06 brass on hand. the final part of the puzzle was easy access to a reamer and dies. now would somebody give mee some loading data for 95 to 105gr bullets
thanks Ed
