every time i go out in the pasture there are more badger holes.what time are they out and about.would like to thin them out but never see them. Ed

How sure are you that they are badger and why do you want to "thin them out"?

Badger holes in a pasture are a bad thing. Getting badgers out of your pasture is a good thing, especially when you sell the prime hides.

Hides aren't prime now and badger holes might be less bad for our pasture than the things they are digging after to eat. Something to think about anyway.

Hides aren't bad at this time of year in the north. Much better than you will find in October/November. Tough to get a perfect badger in these parts being they aren't active by the time they prime up completely. I've seen some gorgeous March badgers, April may be pushing it a bit, but not likely to be unsaleable.
