Title pretty much says it all. I'm looking for some feedback on the stock. I love the vertical grip of the a-5's but the A-5 isn't really a practical hunting stock where I hunt. The Scout seems to be the best of both worlds. Just wanting some first hand feed back on the stock. Thanks guys

The Game Scout? If that's what you're referring to, it's badass. It was designed for exactly the purpose and reasons you mentioned.

I have one and like it. I use it on my coyote rife shooting prone and off sticks. A number 4 barrel fits it well My 243AI weighs a few oz under 9 pounds empty and balances on the lug.

Awesome rifle Sask!
I'd really love to try the GameScout. Figured one would work really well on my 7RM.... the vertical grip looks great and I like that the forend won't swallow up a sub #4 contour.

The stock turned out good. I'd do light grey next time instead of med grey. The fore end kinda washes out a little with the med grey dark grey.
It's pretty good off the bench but its really good prone.

I had a Game Scout and couldn't warm up to it. It's really good in theory, but I found the comb too low and narrow for a "tactical" stock. Yet the shape of the grip really wasn't great for an all around stock. Kind of a bastard tweener.

I've never tried one but have one in edge construction on order. It looks like it will be good but will have to see. From what i understand the comb is supposed to be slightly higher than the classic.

Desert camo with "greens" added. I believe it's called precision camo, IIRC.

Bill, nice looking rifles, what do you like about the Game Scout?
I have one on order now, pushing 6 months and still have not received it.

Everything so far, the balance, smaller forearm (Classic) design, love the A5 grip.

Good, I was visiting McMillan in Phoenix and compared/handled the GS to a Classic and chose the GS over the classic because of the grip but at the same time liking the "Classic" butt and forearm of the GS.
This one is going on a 6.5 Rem LA 700. Everything is built, just have not received the stock yet.
