I drew Oct. 26th-30th rifle. Think it's second hunt. Der-1-110. I had the same hunt 2-years ago and hunted the Turkey Flats area and saw over 200-deer. It was hot and dry, but they were there. I did not get one since I took my 11-year old at the time and he had an asthma attack so bad I had to leave. Was a bummer, but he got better which was all that mattered. I hope I draw again! Have a mountain bike?
If so, use it to go behind the gates on fr310, on Caracas mesa.
Im in unit 2c right now, on top of Harris mesa. Didn't see any sign on the way out here.

Lots of huge bucks in 2c.
Turn north off hwy550 in Lybrook right next to the plant. Go down off Rockaberry hill and look for roads off to the left heading back into that huge canyon back there.
Also, up on top of Hollis pass. Hunt the rims. They bed down on the wall steps below.
Also Crow mesa wildlife management area.
Need directions? pm me with your number. Have a good map ready.
Now if i could only draw a tag, I might could get a bigger buck than my 34" wide, 171 6/8 p&y, I have on the wall.

Peloncillo Desert Sheep tag for me. I have hunted sheep before but have never drawn any sheep tag. Researching now. With a month long season I am already making plans. Any advice would surely be appreciated. It is a long time until November but I think it will be here before I realize it!!

Yes, but please don't hold it against me. I love looking for sheep whether with a tag or a camera. Have been pretty fortunate to hunt quite a bit but never thought I would draw a tag like this and I plan to make the best of it.
