Ive run into a remington 700 sendero chambered in 308 win. w/26 inch stainless fluted barrel and a spiderweb painted beavertail stock and its equipped with stainless leupold mounts and A silver leupold vari XIIc 3x9 scope and this rifle has 8 rounds down the pipe and there is just somthing about this rig that says and smells quality all over it and gives me this gut feeling that it will drive tacks and I guess Im looking for other folks testimonies about this rifle and if anyone can get me in the ballpark of what its worth and thanks again for any input.
broken bones broken heart stripped down an torn apart a lil rust but Im still runnin countin miles countin tears twisted roads and shiftin gears year after year its all or nothin Im not home and Im not lost just holdin on 2 what I got...God and Guns

$800 would be a good deal Id say $1,000-$1,200 retail
I have one in 22-250 and it will only shoot hand loads, tried 3 diff boxes of factory ammo and the group was terrible, had a buddy work up a load that it likes, and now its probably in the top five most accurate I own. Hope this helps

It ought to be worth about $850.00 set up like it is. As far as accuracy, I will bet it to be moa. The stock would be HS Precision. Good shooting

I was going to say $850 or thereabouts. Sure it's not a VSSF? I thought the Sendero was a long action. But then, no reason why Remington couldn't chamber a short cartridge in a long action.
I have one of the original VSSFs in .308, and it shoots .60-.75" groups with 175 grain Federal Match ammo. Could probably do even better with handloads ... but I still have a lot of match ammo to shoot up before I have to work on load development.

Sure it's not a VSSF? I thought the Sendero was a long action. Technically, it would be a VSSF. But, Remington did make the 7mm and 300 Short Action Ultra Mags in the VSSF format(short action), and stamped the barrels Sendero.

well Ive been trying to ID the rifle and now I thought Id found somthing that said sendero SF II which Im presuming this stands for staynless fluted on the 2nd go around and also saw somthing about a 5R barrel which well I guess Im just a lost ball in tall grass surely that doesnt stand for 5 lands and a Right hand twist.

My 300 wby Sendero will shoot factory loads into .5 or less at a 100 yard mark anyday that I do my part.
