Not today Master Wanker! laugh

Got some range time today with a variety of weaponry, mostly zeroing sights, nothing special. Except...I was kinda pleased about how the Savage 24 worked today. Running cast 180 grain bullets around 1,900 fps.

PS: Load #4 zeroed quite nicely, thank you very much. 20 rounds, no leading....boring as chitt after the first few rounds.

Tough to beat that!

Like shootin' Chukars, but they are a bit chewy compared to quail. And they have the weirdest eyes...

Hunts, we may be confused. You got a big ol' scope on that little rifle and mine's the other way. Wanna trade?

In the beginning, it was dark... And God said, "Let there be hydraulics" and man spent more time drinking beer and less time actually working and life was better.

P.S. Flave played cowboy this weekend.
For him, that means.....he got drunk while watching other people work.
He's sore today.....he burned himself while [bleep] around with a branding iron.

Had it made by a genuine Bubba machinist. We traded his time for mine in a manner of speaking. It's aluminum, and the internal contour blends to the form of both barrels as two halves. Clamp on so to speak and rests against the base of the front sight to preclude longitudinal slipping on the barrel. Loads I was firing today weren't full house but they were past mild a fair bit. So far it has survived 15 rounds.

Might can squeeze some more MPH with a powder change but don't know I really need to do that. The alloy was about 50/50 WW & Lead with a pinch of tin...soft enough to expand a lot and make a big hole. Pigs and deer inside 75 yards or so are pretty much toast.

Working the wrong computer at present but tomorrow I'll put up a pic of the halves separated so you can see that.

Wages, they are all still on feed. Late Spring, hills haven't greened up yet so we aren't in a huge hurry but it would be nice to start hauling loads out.

Haven't started farming yet either, May is gonna be busy. Think JO busy!....grin

Flave played cowboy? [bleep] could have come and helped fix fence. Had to string up about 1500' this weekend, [bleep]' flood and ice.
