I'm changing out scopes on my 338RUM which currently has redfield style base and rings. Ring height now is medium and I have plenty of room with the new scope to drop down to lows. As long as I'm buying rings, are there any out there that trip your trigger more than others?

I am sure rings like Nightforce are sweet, but I personally have not tried them. Really itching for a set of their Ultralights, but $165 hurts.

I have them on the .375-.416 Rem, .340 Wea, 7 STW, 7 RUM, 7 Rem Mag, .257 Wea, .224 MBOC, and a couple .22 rimfires. Let me know so I can put new inserts in before they fail.

Light, strong, simple, and great looking Ditto- am I the only one that thinks those vertical Warnes look goofy ? (no offense meant) Vertical Warnes are a bit clunky looking, IMHO. I've never worked with S&K's and agree with Gunner on the Conetrols. It seems that these two are pretty much in the same ball park, sleek and great looking for a fixed mount. For QD's, it's hard to beat Talley. For fixed LW's, I like Talley. To me Dead Nuts are ugly, but that's just me. I'm sure they are functional. DF

I've had extremely goo results from Burris Signature Zee Rings and Burris XTR Rings. They've given me absolutely no reason to look elsewhere.

Warne Maxima are chucky for a reason. They are injection molded scintered metal (MIM). MIM parts rely, in part, on thickness for strength.
