Was wondering if any one has first hand experience shooting a Smith M39 or 59 at 25 yds. I was thinking of getting one, but, only if it had NEAR revolver accuracy. (I have other 9's so nothing else like portability, mag. capacity, etc. would have to be factored in.) Shooting 'silhouette', bullseye and having been on an army pistol team, I like to get a little more accuracy than 'just close'. Comments appreciated.

Buy a 952 or a Sig 210 - given the age and selection likely to be available I wouldn't count on any particular level of performance from the odd used gun. I was very fond of my own model 39 and found it entirely satisfactory. Then too 25 yards especially indoors isn't the test that 50 yards outdoors might be.
