Dunno what you mean by right there. In my back yard? Seasonally, yes. I will tell you that stickin' a 150 tarpon in confined waters is a bit of an adventure, albeit brief. Then there's gator baitin' with chicken necks. Bare hand. You gotta focus....hard. Best fishing is in the estuary region, shallows and oyster bars. That is about 3 miles down river from my place. Heard today about a boy over in Polk County who was fixin to get arrested and ran from the po-po. Jumped in a lake, so he did. Musta jumped right smack into Bre'r Gator's living room, cuz that joker sure enough grabbed him by the arm and head. Grady Judd, the High Sheriff of Polk County and one helluva fine sheriff, discussed the matter at a press conference and ended by sayin' that ol' gator took a bite out of crime.
