A PH I ran into in Zim and I were talking about it and the only rifle he had in his hands for his first lion charge was a .303...he made it work, but remarked " I nearly shat myself!" laugh

I nearly did that yesterday, but no lion was involved...

Morning, all.

It shoots a slow, low BC bullet in a slow twist ( Ill bet) and I cant hit stuff with it much past 800 yards....so its nothing you'd be interested in Tuner...
Plus it has one of those awful wooden stocks..... grin

I've been looking for a Lee-Speed for years. Right now I found an M1895 in 303 (only one I've ever seen) that shoots very well, I can hold an easy 2"@100 or a bit better. I've loaded some 215gr Woodleighs@ 2200 for old times sake, but it shoots factory Rems 174gr or handloaded 150gr Hornadys very well too. Planning on taking it to Texas this fall for hogs..

Poobah, Jorge and Stu, forgive these kids for they are ignorant. They seem to be bright so there might be some light at the end of the tunnel, have patience.

I know a fella what chitt his knickers during a rocket run in a Cobra, but that's as close as I ever came to that. I was in a different bird. Cobras have an enclosed cockpit. Poor phouc in the back seat....

I had a '95TD in '06. Generous bore, even more ginormous chamber, cases came out like snausages. Maybe I should've tried .303 bullets in it?
