Selling my elk rifle, I purchased this rifle new and used it on several Montana deer/elk trips. Nothing wrong with it, selling it as I have a replacement for it and need the money for other projects and hunting gear.

Winchester Model 70 Short Action 300WSM controlled round feed with laminated stock.
Burris Fullfield II 3-9x40 scope with Ballisti-Plex reticle.
Timney trigger installed , much better than the factory trigger.

Gun is in excellent condition, bluing is near 100% (very minor ding or two but absolutely no rust) with just a couple of minor dings in the stock. Controlled round feed action is very smooth. Right around 200 rounds down the barrel.

Asking $750 for everything.

New Haven or BACO and what was wrong with the factory trigger?

It's a New Haven rifle, I bought it new in '03.

I couldn't get the factory trigger pull down under 4.5 lbs., even with no spring tension on it. Maybe I was doing it wrong. The Timney is great, I have it at about 3lbs. and it breaks like an icicle.

Selling this to buy a decent 10x42 binocular and Garmin 62s so will gladly work a trade if you have one of these to offer.
