Anyone know about these guys?
Their specs look good (lifetime warranty, PMI, M4 ramps, and neat configurations), but they don't mention much about their history on their website. Are they govt. contractors like LMT?
Are they parts vendors that build rifles from their own parts?
What's their reputation?

E4E, on the "AR kits----who's junk?" thread, you lumped Colt and CMMG together. I found an outfit, CMMG Inc, in Fayette, MO. I"m confused. There's no mention of Colt on the CMMGinc website.
Their recievers are milspec hard anodized 7075 T6. I tried to read what was stamped on them, but couldn't see the detail.
So what's the deal?

Bump.
E4E, what have you heard about these guys? I'm going to call tomorrow with a long list of questions and see what I learn. I don't have the knowledge level/experience you do, nor have I heard industry rumors about these CMMG. The lifetime warranty sounds good, and the packages seem to have the things I'm looking for. I would (or may still) put together an LMT upper and lower, but still worry about tollerance stacking. Same with a BCM upper and LMT or CMT lower. Is CMMG a govt. contract supplier of either parts or whole rifles? What's their reputation? Any insite prior to my phonecall would be great. 222

I know CMMG used to sell DPMS lowers. Now it appears they don't sell DPMS, but rather their own brand. I believe a lot of lowers for different companies are made by the same factory. In theory, they all have the same specs, but their own finishes.
