Talked to Dtech and decided to get a 17 Rem upper instead of the 204. Very limited knowledge about the 17 but the guys on the Coyote Gods seem very impressed by it, I plan on using this gun in the calling fashion in the brush... Anyone with any thoughts, by the way the barrel will be a 1:9 so It will handle the 30g burgers.

Sounds like a good option. Let us know how it turns out. I've never had a 17 so can't comment. ITs a fast round. And there was an article years back about using the berger to 600 or 1000 yards with decent success on targets.

A buddy had one, and said it didn't work well, because the bore is so small, that it fouled easy and caused problems at the gas port. Not sure what brand he was running. I know OLY used to offer a 17 barrel.
