Ordered parts from "Inline tube" on June 4 , I called them last friday and got the runaround ,called today and got an I'm sorry we cant find the prints and cant make your fuel lines. This is after renting a car for two weeks and waiting to fix my tahoe. I have been online all night and cant find anything. The lines are the quick disconnect at the fuel sending unit and those nylon lines quick disconnect at the front of the tank (where they rusted and not enough good pipe to splice anything)the part that is killing me is the need to have that quick disconnect connection . Can I splice some braided fuel line into the nylon section at the tank with several hose clamps----then bypass the rusty steel section to where the steel tubing is ok and splice in the other end of braided hose with multiple hose clamps?? What PSI are we talking about?? to much pressure for hose clamps on braided line?? any suggestions will be appreciated. OH, its $399.00 for line at the dealer and not in stock. And I would need both the supply and return lines $800+++

They run at 45-50PSI IIRC. you should be able to get away with that, I would buy a flare took if you can get one in there and put a splice in it. I just dont trust hose clamps, though they would probably work.

found that on a quick search... I would buy some hard line, or some braided tear all that [bleep] out, and replace it.

That Dorman kit is for the return lines on a 6.5 diesel motor.

Hose clamps on a rubber hose made for injection might work. Wouldn't try it with the braided stuff, it will not squeeze down. It really needs to mechanically locked in a crimp. When dead headed or full throttle, it could go about 65 psi. Make damn sure it doesn't leak onto the exhaust if you take the oki-rig route.

since they screwed me for 2 weeks, maybe i can get them to swadge the one quick disconnect end on an 18 inch piece of 3/8 and 5/16 and then i can flare and union the other end to the steel??

Go to a junkyard and find Tahoes that have been totaled in accidents and take their fuel lines.

Your f/p is up to 60+ lbs key on engine off. I don't recommend using any clamps to repair that line. You might get away with a union on a steel line.

Is your quick disconnect a plastic or metal collar?
