I bought one of these .22 revolvers a few days ago and although I have not shot it much, I am liking it. I killed two snakes with it just yesterday. One cottonmouth and a chicken snake. I do find it a bit odd that it holds eight shots instead of the normal nine or six. Anybody else have one and if so what are your thoughts? miles

I'm interested in hearing more about this gun as it gets more use. I could really like a reasonably priced 22 revolver.

If they make one in stainless, I'll be all over it.

Was this a new gun purchase? What is the barrel length and how's the trigger? We need some pictures of gun and targets.

The Rossi R98104 Plinker Revolver is also mfg'd with 2" and 6" barrels.

The MSRP is listed as $417 - (Davidson's Gallery Of Guns.) However, several of these revolvers (4" bbl.'s) can be found on the Internet with selling prices ranging from $325 - $337, but ALL are currently "Out Of Stock!"

I have some of the old Interarms Rossi stainless revolvers; 518 in 22 LR, 515 in 22 Mag, and 720 in 44 Special. You can regularly find them for as little as $250. I like the larger Rossi-made target style grips on mine. They are a S&W knock-off with a frame size that falls between S&W's J and K. Being a little larger than the S&W J-frames, they fit my hand a better.

It was a new gun, unfired, in the box from an individual. It has the 4" barrel and the trigger is nice for a new gun. I figure it to smooth up even more with some use. I have not shot at paper yet, just some plinking mostly at things thrown into a pond. I did kill a swimming cottonmouth with four shots at about twenty yards. Two were hits for sure. I have put less than fifty rounds through it so far but plan to do more shooting in a few days when I get my yard and garden under control. I am currently mowing twice a week and probably should mow three times. We have had a wet spring and the grass is growing wild. It is drying up now so maybe things will slow down and my time will free up some. miles
