WTF, I slept in and you guys are already on the roll? Well, Good Morning America!
Sea birds can be a bother now and then. They pluck baits out of mid air, dive down and grab trolling baits, and they are known to chitt on you now and then.
Not that I recommend this, 'cause I don't, but if you put a mullet on a block of clear ice and set it adrift you can have pelican for dinner. Kinda breaks their face or neck or both.
If you're looking for mullet it's often easier to go after them at night in the backwaters using a cast net. If you're really crafty you can toss your net over the head of a manatee and harness nature for the ride of your life.
Jesus only walked on water, you can ski. Don't forget your running lights, they are CG required equipment.
I learned a lot of odd stuff the hard way, but some I learned watching other guys less introspective than myself.

Try a 20? I heard you can shoot anything with a 20.
PS: Try a Black Cat in a piece of hot dog. Tossed in the air.
BD Love it..... Ever try the small Tabasco Bottle emptied in a biscuit trick? NO, but it sounds like it has potential. Does it give 'em a compressor stall?

Sammo is right about the Sea Gulls ( aka Mormon Crows...) Rumor has it a 12 guage nears perfection and baits dont have to be more complicated than an order of fries from Micky dee's.... At least thats the rumor....

Sam's tale reminds me... Perhaps you guys can confirm or deny, but I've heard that the reason for the disappearance of most our wild pheasants (in S Id) is due to everything being irrigated here and, hence, a very early first cutting which takes away the nesting habitat. Sounds like it may be true. Which sucks cuz I do love pheasant hunting. I just have to pay extra for a WMA permit (like $28 bucks or so for 6 birds) and be out with a million other people all in the same spot. Not to mention all you retired guys who kill em all during the work week! They really need to let us thin the gulls...pretty sure they're in no danger of extinction...
It ain't what you don't know that makes you an idiot...it's what you know for certain, that just ain't so...

The buddy that was telling me about it was the cook on ship. Hence, unlimited access to biscuits AND Tabasco. He started off on the telling of the tale with......"you ever seen a seagull drink seawater?"

I don't know if the gull was actually drinking water but they do stick their head under water for a bit following the bisquet.

Yes, but we are tightening up membership requirements...As they now stand you must:
1. Publicly insult the Poobah...check. 2. Recieve nasty PMs ( plural) from well known and recognized trolls... 3.Disavow any knowledge of the existence of .270s 4. Piss off Varmintgay on any given thread....

Could be.... since the mass migration of dairies fleeing Oregon and California to your area have no doubt lead to alot more swathing and watering for the hay to fuel the milk production. In Boise Valley, I used to hunt alot in what is now Eagle, Star, Meridian, Kuna, Nampa etc. Those fields got planted with that last crop they will ever have........houses. In my area the pheasants are down because there is hardly any fence rows, railroad right of way or scab patches left. Plus they seem to have not recovered fully yet from winterkill and wet springs.

Fries from McD's,dadgum them birds have no taste. Now you know why Tabasco was invented. And they tend to be a little stringy. PTO
