By the way here is my 7x57 a Winchester M 70 Featherweight.


My other 7x57 a CZ 550 American

And finally my .270 Winchester Winchester M 70 Super Grade


The 7x57 is .284" while the .270 is .277" and in all honesty there is not any difference between them on big game.

One of my favorite cartridges is the straight 284 Winchester. But I do have a 270 and a 7X57 also. All good cartridges, and like you said, they are all pretty much the same on the receiving end.

There is too. To hunt with the 7x57 is the stuff of legend. Jack O'Connors' wife knew that and governed herself accordingly. She might have thought Jack had lost his mind. Only the Shadow knows.

He got cold cocked in the Lincoln National Forest just shy of Capitan.

Bears are having to work hard for a living in a lot places this year.
