Has anyone ever used this ammunition and what do you think of it?

Yes, I used some .308 last fall and it worked very well. It should, since it's loaded with Interlock bullets.

Anyone know the difference between it and their custom ammo?

The American Whitetail ammo is intended to be basic ammo to compete price-wise with stuff like Remington's Core-Lokt. From what I was told it will all use Hornady's basic Interlock bullet, and sell in the $20-$30 per box price range, depending on the cartridge.

I don't typically buy factory offerings anymore, but that sounds great to me.

shot 3/4" in 7mm-08 Savage 114. Equal to Nosler and a bit better than Fusion. Shot 1/2" lower than Superperformance.

Good information. I saw some at Cabelas and the price was right. Not knowing more about what components were used to build this round I passed. I was shopping for 7mm-08 brass and this would be my ticket to ammo and brass.
