Sam,

At my age, what hair I have has either turned gray or turned loose. Consequently, as I spend quite a bit of time outside in the sun I wear a hat and work in it a lot. I don't spend big money on it. I bought that one from Cavender's Western Wear in Pasa-gitdown-dena, Tx. Prolly paid less than $35 for it. It is just your basic Mexican Palm frond straw hat. Nice thing is you can soak them down and shape them and let them air dry, don't have to worry about having it blocked.

You can get them on e-bay or Amazon or many other places if you don' have a western wear store close.

Gots me a chance to grab a new stick...

Friend informed of a pawn/gunship about 40 miles away with a Belgian commercial Mauser with a stainless Douglas barrel (abut a #2, he reckons) with Leupy mounts and rings in 757 that the guy is asking $350 for. He's sure the guy would probably take $250 or maybe a skosh less.

Wee bit of surface rust spots on receiver (nothing a little emery wouldn't fix), bore like brand new and it needs a cleaning. With the recent heat spell and lack of components, I haven't been burning a lot of ammo recently so my first thought was to pass...

HOWEVER, said buddy has dies, brass and a [bleep] of 175 grainers and a B&C Medalist he'd make me a great deal on.

Do I take the plunge? Haven't owned a 757 yet and it's always spoken to me and I don't see how I could really go wrong....

It ain't what you don't know that makes you an idiot...it's what you know for certain, that just ain't so...

Most people don't want to believe the truth~they want the truth to be what they believe.

Stupidity has no average...

Put out some corn. You'll know where to start tracking.

Mojo, I can't believe you're debating this. Mouser/Mouser under $350? Probably the action is worth that.

Thank us later.

That is DO NOT PULL YOUR RIG OFF PAVEMENT OR YOU ARE [bleep] type schit.
Unbelivable.

Speaking of corn, Barbarian Dan, my [bleep] sweetcorn is a thing of beauty. Went out today and just got all teary-eyed looking at it. I am going to overdose on salt/butter/corn in the near future by the looks of it. I could live on that schit.

Crazy slimy here of late 'slave. Depending on time of day, that road you came over on is impassable in this stuff. And just when the skeeters were starting to be a little less than bad enuff to make you eat your gun, they resurge, rebreed, and try harder.

Metric calibers are for Uropeeans and latins. They have no place in America.

Ya'll ever try it with butter, Tony Chacherie's and Lime juice.

IN the micro wave on high, 2-3 minutes and roll 180 degrees and then 2-3 minutes more. Slather with butter, then sprinkle with Tony's and squeeze on some lime juice.

Yum.

Sounds like eating around your place would be good.
