Curious if anyone else is using Lil'Gun in their 221 FB loads? I have a load I am shooting in my Rem 700 Classic with 15.5 grains, Fed 205M primer, and Nosler 40 grain ballistic tips. Makes little tiny groups at 100 yards. COAL= 1.830"

I use 15-15.4 grains Lil'Gun and 40 grain BTs in my CZ527 .221 and get tiny groups as well.

I use Lil Gun and 40g V-max. Shoot about the same as the BT's but much more explosive.

Rich Not yet but thx for the info...I just bought a NIB Rem. 700 classic in 221 FB that a guy had stashed away. Looking forward to giving it a test run soon. I bought the Barnes 40g Varminator bullet/Lil gun powder and Nosler brass to get things started. Any intel on the Varminator bullets?

That's exactly the same load I mostly use in my 700 Classic, except I've also used a bunch of other 40's, also with excellent results, including the V-Max, Sierra BlitzKing, Berger HP, and 42-grainers from Jim Calhoon.

AA1680 with a good 40gr bullets is hard to beat as well.
Curiosity killed the cat, But for a while I was a suspect.
