Like the butterfly image. Species? Thanks. What's wrong with the others? California Sister - Adelpha californica

The only one I'd actually be critical of is the jay. Focus was off just a tad around the eye. With mother nature though, one has to work within the conditions offered up. Rarely if ever optimum.

I agree with your comments on the jay photo - it's also heavily cropped. I simply didn't have the light in my favor. Shooting a 100-400mm hand-held, wide open with a slow shutter speed is dicey.
I appreciate your comments.

Could we get some directions and what time is the sausage going to be ready? Very nice job of capturing "a day in camp". It brings back many memories of past trips and future!
Great photography is not about being in the right place at the right time, it is about putting yourself in the right place at the right time.

The set makes one just want to hang around in camp. I like the still life of the hat on the sleeping bag. The background seems a tad bright though, taking attention from the hat.

Cool pics. I like that coffee pot! There must be decades of flavor emanating from that thing!
The Stetson is great, too. What model hat is that?

Cool pics. I like that coffee pot! There must be decades of flavor emanating from that thing! That pot puts on a decade every year! It might never have seen a scouring pad or sponge, outside or in. We treat it much as we do sourdough starter...

Yeah - Hard to wash when it's constantly in use. I figure there's probably a molecule or three from the first brew still floating around in it.
