That could be a whole lotta fun. I bet it could stop a herd of venomous saber toothed groundhogs.

Air is crisp here this morning...FINALLY! Fall will come soon. It really felt like fall here yesterday. Cool breeze all day, was beautiful. But mid 90s tomorrow will quickly dispell those thoughts methinks.

Any of you wackers around?
Thinkin of updating my CCW weapon and am really leaning to the Ruger SR9c or the LCR .38.
Handled both at SW today and while the LCR is noticeably lighter and 'smoother', the SR9c fit my hand a little better and I think would be easier to shoot accurately.
Plus you could carry it with the 10 rd in the gun for concealability whilst packing the extra 17 rd mags.
Read a lot of good reviews on both just wondering if any here have experience and if the lighter weight of the LCR is enough to overcome its 'drawbacks' with regards to the SR9c.
BTW, my carry gun now is a SIG 220 with Hogue wraparound finger groove grips and night sights. I love how it fills my hand but it's really just a little big for good concealment, especially with summer clothes and consequently, it almost never gets carried.

Mojo, I'm not trying to sell you on anything in particular, but if you think you need a gun for a knife fight, the first rule is to have it with you. Phouc just about everything else as a first point of consideration. It needs to be something you're comfortable with carrying, or you won't carry.
Second rule, and I know this is a bit vague, consider how you "think" you would use it. I'll give 1:1000 odds it won't be how you visualize it when it all goes down. Probably a lot closer than you think, and without much if any warning. Close ain't a bad thing necessarily as it precludes contemplation about sights and precision aiming and all that rifle gak.
My favorite piece is an old Smith snubby with a hammer and 6 .38's in the cylinder. I can do some amazing things at 50 yards with it. The one I carry is an LCP, in my pocket when I feel the need. Small, smooth and unobtrusive. It's good out to about 10 yards and is a slam phoucin' dunk at nose to nose. I dunno I'll go for the side of the head, neck or crotch at the moment, but I'll figure that out quick enough as circumstances warrant.
And I'll smile when I do it. Smilin' always confuses people when they think they have the upper hand and confusion is good.
BD don't evah play fair.
