BTW, my carry gun now is a SIG 220 with Hogue wraparound finger groove grips and night sights. I love how it fills my hand but it's really just a little big for good concealment, especially with summer clothes and consequently, it almost never gets carried.
You already have the best to carry no need to change. A good concealment holster makes things easier and if you are licensed, a little printing is of no consequence.

I carry a Ruger SR9, I carry the 10 round mag in and the 17 in my pocket.
Never used the little brother to mine(SR9C) but I hear they are nice. It's an accurate little piece that's for sure...

I like the P220 as well...but Ive got big hands and a big body to conceal it on.That said, I still dont carry an automatic...but if I did, that would definitely be the one.( I carried a 6" S&W Model 19-concealed- for 18 years...) I always kinda went with the " Thats the gun I wanna have in an emergency.." school of thought instead of the easy concealability school of thought. Both have their proponents and arguments, its just a matter of choice....

The printing thing can make a difference. I have read that some states consider it a no-no. Even if they don't, some people may want to make a big deal about it. I generally don't worry about it most places in W.V. but when I travel out of state (and a few places here in the state) I do take precautions against it. Dave.

Overheard an ole boy at a gun counter telling the salesman that he would really like to carry a full size 1911 .45 but that they were to big to conceal. All the time I was standing beside him with one on my hip. Just had to laugh to myself. He didn't have a clue.

Any of you wackers around?
Thinkin of updating my CCW weapon and am really leaning to the Ruger SR9c or the LCR .38.
Handled both at SW today and while the LCR is noticeably lighter and 'smoother', the SR9c fit my hand a little better and I think would be easier to shoot accurately.
Plus you could carry it with the 10 rd in the gun for concealability whilst packing the extra 17 rd mags.
Read a lot of good reviews on both just wondering if any here have experience and if the lighter weight of the LCR is enough to overcome its 'drawbacks' with regards to the SR9c.

You already like sigs, check out their compact 1911's.. I haven't shot one, but holy crap they look and feel nice.
I replace valve cover gaskets every 50K, if they don't need them sooner...

How did the crops turnout, Sammo? In the bin! We didn't have all that much seeded but according to my dad it was the best crop in over 40 years.

Great. Winter wheat round here was great (a lot of it well over a hundred, dry land), spring grains and legumes, average. Now if the price will come back some..........
