On this one all I want is the action and mag parts and bottom metal. I'll remove the trigger and barrel...you'll see them as new take-offs in the classifieds. This rifle is an SPS and you cant give the stock away, so I'll throw it on the pile of SPS stocks....

New stock, trigger, and barrel, plus scope and mounts all coming from the classifieds grin

Got to figure out how to keep my tie down straps from 'thrumming'. At 60-65 mph it's like a two stroke motor is bolted to my roof. So loud I almost put in my shooting ear plugs! Maybe loosening them a touch will help...

Put a twist in the strap. It will quit strummin.

Thought of trying that to see if it would work...now I will!

Thanks.

Quick pic of my suckage...

50'--so not exactly defense range...

Cheapo Fiocchi 115 gr hardball.

I was able to drift the sight after these a bit but my screwdriver wasn't small enough to get the elevation down (the target was set up with the orange dot right side up). I was hitting hi and left.

Some more at 30' offhand and rapid fire.

Fiocchi again except for the 5 circled in orange ( I know, spare the Gruff comparisons...grin) which were Hornady Critical Duty 135 grainers. They measured 1.4" at 30' offhand which didn't seem too bad for an out-of-practice shooter...

Sam,

Glad you got it all in! My cousins have had severe hail damage 6 of the last 8 years. The hail always occurred Labor Day weekend. The last 2 years it didn't hail but then it's been too dry for any significant precipitation.

I'm guessing you should have lots of pheasants and good sized racks on those mulies! Good luck!

Ted, sounds like your cousins are in a hail 'zone'.

There are locations around here that always seem to get hail every other year or so(give or take a mile or two). Luckily we only have one field that is close to the streak. 90 years ago my great grandpa got hailed out 4 years in a row. He homesteaded 20 miles south of here. Same spot got hail this Summer.

Awesome bird year for many varieties. Tons of young Meadowlarks.
