It did fine, didn't walk back to the plates but it looked like about a 6-7" 8 shot group at 470 yards. With a good rest and reasonable wind I feel comfortable out to 400-450 yards.

Yeah, new gun, only 1 coyote so far. Maybe an antelope in a month, still not many around. Good excuse to take a day off and go for a walk regardless.

Sam,

I approve of your scatter gun target. laugh

I always attributed holes in patterns to excess velocity/pressure. Dunno it matters much actually, but I've seen much tighter patterns with relatively low velocity with the same shot charge/choke and gun when using handloads.

I am..........disturbed.

Concerning the difference between man and the jackass: some observers hold that there isn't any. But this wrongs the jackass. -Twain

Looks like a dead box to me Sam!

Now, count the pellet holes, and circle each one. Then using a different color sharpie outline what you think is a hollow spot. THAT will look much epicer.

Yay Sunday!

Dan, you very well might be correct on too much velocity. These loud little bastards are labeled high velocity.

Cool and calm out this morning so I double checked a couple hunting rifles.

Even patterned my shotgun.
BGG inspired target.

35 yards, 12 gauge, 5 shot, modified choke.

Not exactly sure but it looks fine to me. Kind of a hollow spot right in the middle though.

Sam,

Hopefully the Budweiser was still in the box when you blasted it...

Guys, I got a problem here...

Recently put a Leupy 6x36 LRD on my T3 SL .308, but found out from Take A Knee that I'll never be able to make close in shots!

What am I to do...?

PS I don't own a shot timer.... frown
