Never did try those 40 grain noslers in mine but after running them in my 223 Ackley I think they'd be great in the 204. Man I gotta stop this 204 talk or I may just buy one again.

Most of the time it's my M700ADL 223 with 50TNTs. Some of the time it's an early M77 MKII 22-250 with 55gr. Hornady sp.
Been using a Rock River Coyote Rifle some this last year but prefer the weight and handling of a good bolt rifle.

Unless I get my suppressor. Then it's AR time.

Maybe if I get ambitious I'll take out the No.1 in 264WM. Not very fur friendly but should make a real nice pop.

I like a shotgun. Just never been able to call them into the open here in Wi with near the consistency as the thick stuff. A shotgun just works for my kind of calling.

I killed this old bitch with a 7RM. She dogged me for a couple years...I've used .222,.243,.22-250, .30-06.
I'm debating between a .204 and a .223 for the next one for an all around varminter the triple deuce is about wore out.

I decided to use the trusty 'ol .223 AR on this day, and it worked OK.
[Linked Image]
But I sure like the .204 AR too. It worked pretty good on this stand of youngsters.
[Linked Image]
Then last winter I decided to try something a little smaller, and the .17 Rem. seems to kill'em just as dead.
[Linked Image]
This winter I'm going to compromise and try something between the .204 and .17 Rem. Won't be long and this .17/.204 will get called to duty, and I suspect it'll work just fine as well.

Well that sucks! I had kinda thought about a 17-204. Maybe somebody will buy his equipment.

But so goes the folly of building a rifle with the intent of shooting a single source, boutique bullet. Similar to what happened when guys were building rifles for Wildcat bullets.
