I had a bad incedent of getting sand in my Giney.

Sick as [bleep], wheezing like a jewish accountant. What a great way to start a vacation.

I was supposed to be hunting on the Hi-line this weekend.

A Texan was sittin' in his lawn chair in the shade. He had on a ball cap, his shades down and sippin' on a long neck. His darlin' bride was sweatin' away pushing a lawnmower over the front yard. This had pretty much been going on every Saturday afternoon all summer long. The "biddy" next door had watched this pretty much all summer. Finally she could take no more.
She comes out of her house and marches up to where the guy is kicked back in his chaise lounger. She says Sir, I can't believe that you would sit here every Saturday afternoon and drink beer in the shade while your wife is mowing the yard. You ought to be hung.
The Texan don't even bother to set up. Just pushes his cap back a might, lowers his shades on his nose, smiles and laconically drawls,
Yes ma'am, I am.
That's why she's mowing the grass.

My unit opens Monday I think.. Will hunt after the tourist leave the field.. Grandkids have permits this year, their first antelope hunt.. Should be a blast.. One of them needs a rifle, I am debating between the .243 and 7mm-08.. He has shot the .243 so we will go with what ever he is comfortable with..

Stock ADL .25-06 and the dreaded 110 accubond. It blew up both shoulders, and I am kinda pissed about that. Can't blame the bullet though. I always aim behind the shoulder. Don't know if I muffed the shot, or a gust of wind came up or what, but both shoulders and the heart are totally ruined. Oh well. I got two doe/fawn tags to fill tomorrow.

He'll be mostly steaks and I will sausage/burger the rest.
