Apparently there aren't enough nice hotels in College Station for the visiting teams and the band so the Bama band is staying in Houston Friday night and driving up to the game Saturday morning. The odd part is because they are in Houston they didn't have a place to practice....

So they stopped at LSU on the way and practiced on our band practice field. Way to fit into the SEC A&M, don't even have a spot for a band to practice. I'm not sure why they couldn't volunteer a high school field as that is what LSU normally does for the visiting team.

If a band needs to practice.....they need more practice! A&M should still be in the Southwest Conference anyway......even if they will win the SEC anyway.

What? What did LSU and Texas and countless other schools do when playing in College Station?

I don't know when LSU travels. When other schools come to Baton Rouge the band practices at different area high schools each time and they perform for the band there.

Save money and leave the band in bama.

Aggies need the 'bama band there so that they can have a few minutes to sit down! I figured they would stay in Houston anyway, no need to stay in College Station if they want a proper rest before the game. As far as the band goes, if they are still practicing, leave them home until they are ready to play. LOL

Every band practices the day before a game on the road.

A&M is making Bama fans all over....A&M had the locker room A/C off the Bama and they roped off 1/2 of it so Bama couldn't use it all.

Do they even have AC in Alabama, just thinking of the players comfort. As far as the ropes go, A&M just didn't want to go on a search and rescue mission for lost players. Simple. grin

Didn't take long either.

May be a high scoring game.

Yes Sir on that. Lasted a whole 7 minutes in the first quarter. Then I fell asleep in my chair for 2 quarters. Not any better in the 4th.
