Made it about 4-5 miles before one said [bleep] it and plowed by my pony and into a stock dam. They were a little tired.
We left him, not really any good way to get a +2000 pounder outta the drink.
He hit the water at full speed, no pic but it was sweet.
This year, I've been packing the Webley loaded with bird shot when moving bulls. Haven't had the chance to use it yet...for some reason they've been cooperative.
That [bleep] knew exactly what he was doing and I knew what he was doing but no way to stop him.
He could smell the water before he could see and kept pressing for about 1/2 mile. Sure enough he takes off then spins behind my horse right towards it(H20) and by now he is 3/4 throttle, kerplushe!
Pretty sure the dumb [bleep] did NOT know the dam was gonna be that deep right off the bank though....grin
I never have time to dick with all the settings, just leave it on 'auto' 90% of the time. Limited (decent)zoom, fairly small but heavy for size item. Doesn't carry in a shirt pocket very well but goes inside saddle bags real easy.....grin
The nice thing about the 15 it's fast and seems well built. I scratched the lenses up several times(the protective cover did actually) but it doesn't show up in the pics.
I really like menudo as long as I know the cook. Have a Spanish lady that makes me some a couple times a year...MMmmm . A couple of these in a tortilla while the wife was bagging them. Life is good.
My sis just brought some up.. got a good supply laid away in the freeze..

Tweaked one from this morning.
That's what I thought.. I'm going to be buying one of those soon.

Rick, please do something about this. Sexual harassment should not be tolerated.
Spooky Tooth. Classic. GFY.
Spooky Tooth,
Slave, I looked back a ways and did not see anything. Were you referencing the band "Spooky Tooth". Hadn't thought about them in years.....
Takes me back.
I started surfing around '65. Had two particular buds I would hitch rides to the beach with. We would take our cars to the mall and park them, then hitch a ride to the beach and back. This would be around 1970. One guy everybody called "Spooky", caused he was such a Spooky Tooth fanantic. The two of us had hitched to the beach the day before and caught some pretty good waves. IIRC there was a Hurricaine in the gulf and the swells were building. On this day another bud, John and Spooky took off before about two hours before I got out of class. Waves were overhead at the Flagship pier and every mother's son that had a board was trying to get down ASAP. When I got to the Flagship pier, there were cops and ambulances. Evidently Spooky was at the tail end of a wave and had kicked out. Unfortunately he must have kicked out at the rip and his board flipped. He came down on the skeg and it caught him just under the clavicle and severed his jugular. Died right there in my bud John's arms about 10 minutes before I got there. Bummer. Any time I think of that band I think of Spooky and his zest for life.
