I just received an email from Midway with links to a bunch of Larry's short stories. I perused a few and found them entertaining. And they are free!
I say two thumbs up!

I'll have to check them out. Especially since there isn't an outrageous shipping charge.

Is that the guy who I'm hearing ran Reihardt Fajen into the ground? The guy that I heard sells various shooting shooting tools from small makers, then knocks them off with Chinese junk marketed under his various brands when he sees good movement? The guy that tied to have me take one of his 5lb catalogs in one of my shipments with shipping paid for by me?

I say two thumbs up! Now that I've got BOTH feet out of my mouth.... I have not seen/read any of his writings so can't comment. HOWEVER -- I've been doing business with MIDWAY for longer than I can remember. I've NEVER had a problem. USUALLY I've been able to buy BRAND products from them CHEAPER than anywhere else, (usually). I was ordering from them BEFORE I had a computer and MY FIRST order was by PHONE before I had seen a flyer or paper catalog. After these many years I look forward to more years of good service.

Midway USA is a good secure place to buy online. Not the cheapest, but very easy to navigate their website.
Like all others, they are out of a lot of ammunition and components.
You can turn it off, but they send out 3-4 emails to you per day. I am about to turn the emails off. Cabela's does the same thing.
That's modern marketing I guess.
one more thing. The customer reviews on specific product is a good thing. Read before you buy. Like here read between the lines.
Gun Shows are almost as comical as boat ramps in the Spring.

So I assume that you also don't shop at Cabela's, BPS, Gander Mountain, MC Sports, Sporstman's Wharehouse, Scheels, or any of the other stores that knock off brand name products once they see them selling well?

Larry, his wife Brenda and their two grown children are outstanding folks.
If anyone was to make a summation of who donated more dollars to the NRA, it would without a doubt be the Potterfields.
They hunt, they kill and they are WITH us. That means a lot.

But he set his son up with Battenfield which imports products of their own design, most of it pretty much junk.

ChrisF, who ever told you Midway ran Fajen into the ground, full of it. Fajen had bought Bishop to get some of the competition gone, like Cabelas bought Gander mtns, mail business. Fajen had invested in a lot of new equipment etc, to expand, but then found the market wasn't there, and sold out to Potterfield, who tried to resurrect them. Herters, when around, had a lot of house brand stuff that was kinda junky, so not a new thing. I'm not sure Battenfield junk, don't have any so don't know. As for setting your son up in a branch of the family business, show me someone who wouldn't.
