Glad to see some guys are scoring. Just got back from three days of 'didn't-get-schit' besides a jacked up lower back (with no BTE for company). Literally saw about everything but what I was looking for. Several cow elk, butt load of pronghorn, coyote(had him in my scope at 50 yds), ruffed grouse at ten feet, schit loads of squirrels and, believe it or not, several moose we snuck to within 60 yds of including one BIG ASS bull (smallish rack, though). But, not one damned deer, doe or buck, in over 12 miles of hiking. Only saw one other group of guys and they were road hunters so I don't think there was any pressure and we were in a seemingly great spot with plenty of food, water and shelter... Oh well, typical. Might try going after a desert buck closer to home next weekend. Got two weeks left. At least pheasant starts next week. The Tikkas remain unbloodied on big game...
