I have some 44 loads that I used at a recent shoot. They shot beautifully but dented the hardened steel targets. So if anyone knows some really good and light 44 loads please <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/help.gif" alt="" />

One of my favorites is to fill the cases with fffg and compress the powder with a 240 grain cast lead. You have to clean your gun thoroughly afterwards, and it makes lots of smoke, but they shoot really well.

Check the Hodgdon website for data on their Trail Boss powder. I use it with light cast bullets (200 gr). It is bulky and fills the case better than some of the fast powders like bullseye. It can easily be loaded to cowboy action velocities.
