Thanks. I didn't get past the skin. Yeah, I had to really look around for it, too.

Man, I'm jealous of you guys with the long seasons. I got one more weekend to try to score. I'll see if it's worth trying to head up north. Might go kayaking instead... Here's a pic of my cock...ran out after work today for about an hour with Giblets. He had a blast...and got full of burrs and stunk so bad I could hardly stand it on he way home! He absolutely must go into any and all water he finds...

I've really learned to like my 6.5x55 Tikka.... Coyotes next for a while...then hopefully a cow elk depredation tag in late December... Tikkanut, What scope you running on yours and how much does it weigh with the laminated stock? Would love to find me an old T3 Lite in the Swede. A local GS also has a Sako 85 Bavarian in 6.5 that I had to wear a surgical mask to prevent drooling over...gorgeous (course, it was also $2000)!

Awesome find Dan! Great dog pic Mojo. I went beaver hunting after work today, right before dark. There is a beav knocking down trees on the creek and making quite a mess. Not a lot of trees as it is so I decided to shoot his ass. Snuck up a tall cutbank right above his territory and sure enough spied him about 10 minutes later. Sat and watched him and a muskrat do there thing until it got dark. Never did shoot, guess I'm getting soft. Nicest evening of the year, perfectly still.

Beavers are remarkable little things (both kinds)... They can cause a mess though. I remember when I was a young teen doing landscape work, etc for this old couple at their vacation home. They had a beaver making a dam in their little creek and I was tasked with taking it apart. Had NO idea how well those things were put together. Ended up having to call a guy to blast it out which apparently is SOP. They also supposedly make the best coats...somehow I can picture Ace sporting one (grin)! After a kinda schitty start, October has ended up being absolutely b-e-a-utiful here with the forecast to remain the same for the next week or so. Great hunting, or just being outside, weather.

Tikka, How do you like that Vortex? I've had several Vipers and really liked them. I'm surprised they have 1/2" clicks on those LRs. I see they're kinda moving toward 30mm tubes. I love the turrets on the Vipers and wish Leupold would come into the 21st century and offer similar setup as standard fare. Kinda pissed I gotta spend an extra $90 to get my 6x36 set up as such. I do wish there were more options in medium power fixed scopes. I wrote Vortex asking if they had any in the works and they said nada. Apparently, medium power fixed scopes aren't really good money makers...

I wanna stuff the beaver.
Told my wife and she no.
Seriously, I think it would be sweet to have a stuffed beaver in the corner of the room.
Rancho said go Euro on it's skull. That would be interesting.
