What kind of cult names one of their angels Moron(i)? Good book, Under the Banner of Heaven. Recommend it highly. Have really pissed off some otherwise placid mormon acquaintances with it.  Good book! Made stopping for gas in Colorado City much more fun!  No chit eh? I drove down through Utah and then into AZ couple years ago, didn't take 15, but some 2 lanes instead. Thought it'd be neat. Talk about a weird vibe.... And that was before I read the book. After it all made sense. Love the sign on the highway, Colorado City estab. 1985. Did you notice all the mostly done houses? Don't have to pay tax until their done... If he gets out of the slammer, I think the Girls Gone Wild guy ought to take their tourbus there!

It was like the twilight zone. Folks LOOKED normal, indeed the females I saw were not hideous but I was not welcome. Even not having to talk to anybody except to pay for my gas. I've gotten that feeling before in little podunk towns off the beaten path in other places, but they were all old places, towns that had boomed and busted and all that was left were hard folks. This place looked new, clean, but damned weird. No doubt about it though, absolutely beautiful country.
