I replaced the stock pad on my T3 SL with a Limbsaver. No complaints...
PN# 10011, BTW.

Shoot it first. 308 might be mild enough where you don't need it. On my 300 magnums, I needed the Limbsaver to keep my shoulder from turning black and blue.

Didn't bother on the 6.5, the '06's and above get one ordered as soon as I get the rifle. The stock pad doesn't have much give that's for sure.

It is a screw on no issue upgrade. Put one on my 338 Federal. No issues at all. The T3 is light, and can kick a bit off a bench, don't really notice it hunting.

Their prefit one for the Tikka is a perfect fit and feels great on shoulder. Natchez Shooters had them for 27 on sale.

Get it, I put one on my T3 lite 308 and it makes a difference. I'm not recoil shy I have a light 35 whelen but the stock design makes a difference.
Enough already, just shoot it!

I've got both the Limbsaver and the Pachmayr Decelerator, and while the Limbsaver is a lot more pliable, I believe the decelerator will definitly hold up much better over time.

Im not a fan of the limbsaver as far as the extra length it adds to the stock. It makes the LOP 14.25", plus the odd angle that Tikka cuts the stock the limbsaver adds an 1". When the factory pad is about 5/8" thick at the top and 1" thick at the toe. Don't take me wrong, the limbsaver is an effect recoil pad....I just don't like the extra length and angle.....I have a slightly used Limbsaver for sale...$25 shipped I send my stocks off and have them cut to the correct angle and LOP for me....Decelerators and Kick Eez

I prefer Pachmayr Decelerator recoil pads. My T3 Hunter in .308 bucks pretty good. I took mine over to JKobe here on the 'fire to install a grind-to-fit decelerator. I believe it was a .800" model, to keep the same LOP. Mitch, those paint jobs are cool as h*ll!
I should have just bought a [bleep] T3...

That is exactly why I own 3-4 limbsaver recoil pads. I'm 6'-6" tall so factory rifles never fit. I've even have recoil pads on my heavy barreled varmint rifles I've got a SS T3 in 300 win mag, you can be dammed sure that rifle has a dedicated recoil pad. Also has a muzzle break.

Do you have more pics of this stock? I'm going to get one painted for my Christmas present. P
