Was out this morning and filled up @ $3.03. An hour later it was up to $3.15. I noted that several other stations went up exactly $.12 today as well. Had to run out for an errand just a minute ago and they were already lowering it down to $3.05

12 cents increase in one day is a lot barring something like a hurricane in the Gulf. But to drop it back down 10 cents just a few hours later? Was there some kind of concern over refineries shutting down because of weather? There has to be some reason for this.

The Holidays & storms. They always raise the prices here in TX this time of the year. Diesel went up by .20 cents here just because of the ice storm. They claim more demand for the Yankees up north running their basement heaters.

Gas went up .12 to .15 cents, too. Fuggin Price Gougers !

Our gas is still $3.50+ a gallon. I don't see it going below $3 again in my lifetime.

That's ok, I'll ass shoot a dink.

For the record, I don't heat my basement.

I meant that for those who have their big heating units in the Basement. I thought all Yankees had one in their basement. wink

Yea, but why raise it 12 cents, then drop it 10 cents within 8 hours. That is the part I don't understand. I guess I shouldn't complain, it is the lowest I've seen in a while.

The station just tried to raise prices, and none of the other stations followed, so they had to drop it back down.

jumped 30 cents in a matter of hours a week ago! WTF?

Well they hold you hostage at the pump. Sad but that's how it goes, if gas were 8 dollars, people would pay it unfortunately.

Last time I checked vendors can price it at whatever price they want to.
