[color:#3333FF]Hindus now want a statue of Lord Hanuman, a Hindu monkey god.
This comes after a group of Satanists from New York have requested to place a monument to Satan next to the 10 Commandments Monument that was put in place last year. Now, Rajan Zed, president of the Universal Society of Hinduism wants to put a statue of Lord Hanuman, a Hindu monkey god.
In a press release, Zed said Lord Hanuman was greatly revered and worshiped and known for incredible strength and was a perfect grammarian.
The stated purpose of the monument would be to raise awareness of Oklahomans about Hinduism, oldest and third largest religion of the world with about one billion adherents and a rich philosophical thought.
However, its unlikely that any religious monument would join the 10 Commandments. Typically courts have rejected religious monuments unless they have historic significance to the community where they are placed.
